Details of the 2019 CrossFit Open

The 2019 CrossFit Games Open is upon us! Whether you’re participating in the open or not, there are a few things you need to know about what’s going on for the next 5 weeks…

Friday Night Bar Fight Details:

No CrossFit Classes at 5 and 6 PM (We will have normal BeachFit classes at 4:30 and 5:30 PM)

FNBF will start at 6 pm, with the first heat beginning around 6:15 PM

If you want to participate in FNBF as an athlete, aim to show up between 5:30 and 6 PM and add your name to the heats on the back of the whiteboard. Once we know the length and equipment required for each workout, this will determine the number of heats and the number of athletes per heat. 

If you are late to FNBF, but can get to the gym by 7 PM, we can usually accommodate you into one of the last heats of the evening.

If you are a drop in visiting us from out of town you are more than welcome to drop into the bar fights, just know that this is an event and not your typical class experience. 

Weekly Workout Performance

Earn Points for Your Open Score Each Week.
Scores will be ranked from 1st to 140th and then awarded points with first place earning the most points. 

1st = 140 Points

2nd = 139 Points

3rd = 138 Points

If you don’t submit a score, you will get 0 points added to your team score for that week.

Scores will be ranked in order from;

RX scores that exceed the minimum work requirement

Scaled scores that exceed the minimum work requirement

RX scores under the minimum work requirement

Scaled scores under the minimum work requirement

Social Media Challenge

Each team member that completes the social media challenge for that week will receive 5 points towards their team score

In order for the social media challenge to count, the post must:

Meet the requirements of the challenge for that week

Be posted on your own personal page, not in our community group or other groups

Include the hashtag #cfpbopen

Also, highly recommend using your team’s name #blackmambas and tagging @crossfitpalmbeach

 

Weekly Individual Knockout Performance

       25 points to the knockout performance each week

Weekly Team Spirit Award

                50 points to the team spirit winner for each week.
